THNIC Academy organizes Computational Thinking Conference for teachers and education personnel
The THNIC Academy organized a Computational Thinking Conference for teachers and education personnel November 22 – 24, 2023, at THNIC Academy in Tak province. Participants included teachers and education personnel from schools affiliated with the Secondary Education Service Area Office Tak, the Primary Education Service Area Office Tak District 1, and the Tak Municipality. A total of 16 participants from 11 schools and one organization attended.
Mr. Parkpoom Tripatana, the director of THNIC Academy, welcomed the participants and provided details about the workshop. Following that, Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Prayote, the head of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, along with the team of instructors, delivered an intensive content presentation.
The objective of this conference was to develop teaching methodologies for Computational Thinking with an aim to provide educators with additional tools for teaching subjects related to computational thinking and programming. The intention was to convey knowledge and understanding in the field of ‘Computer Science’ to students with an emphasis on enhancing programming skills to reach a proficient level. This initiative also aimed to provide students in Tak province and nearby areas with an opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills that are on par with other regions. The goal was to empower students to enable them to compete effectively and increase their prospects for future professional pursuits.
